Why???

As you know I am the ultimate “Tree-Hugger”. I want to save all animals, plants, children, indigenous cultures, and the earth herself from cruelty of all types. I want religious/spiritual freedom and acceptance for all Peoples. I want to see spirituality become the number one priority for everyone. I believe if these issues are priorities and not “issues” the world WILL change for the better. I have signed so many online petitions for the above-referenced matters, my fingers are sore; literally.

Having said all of this, I’ve realized recently, the world is still too over whelmed with cruelty, hatred, prejudice, genocide, abuse of land, resources, animals, children, okay, sorry, I’m ranting. My point is, the only way we can change any of these negative energies is if we start electing government officials who feel the way we do. I’m pretty sure you don’t have to be rich or have a college degree to run for political office. You just have to know people who will back you, while you step up and do the work.

So, my “WHY” is, why are people who truly care about the condition of the planet and all life herein, not running for political office where they could actually implement changes?

Something from Nothing

I recently watched an interview with author, Lawrence Krauss. His book “A Universe from Nothing” is causing a stir for many who reject the Big Bang Theory. What grabbed my attention was his theory that there can be “nothing” and then suddenly be “something”. So today I read excerpts from the book and while I don’t agree with his philosophy, he makes some valid points in favor of the spiritual principle that we create our world with our thoughts. And I’m sure from the interview and the book, he had no intention of endorsing anything spiritual.

This post is really not about his theories but more about my ideas after considering his theories. He is obviously an extremely intelligent person and I learned quite a bit of sound scientific knowledge from the excerpts I read. But what I do best is find the spiritual component in any theory.

I have really meditated on the concept from both a spiritual and scientific perspective and I’m beginning to see (feel) that perhaps we create not just with thoughts but with a combination of thoughts and feelings together, which when they combine produce an energy unique to the combination and to the individual who created the combination. This may also be true of plants, animals, water, earth and energies in space. Combining consciousness and feeling to produce creative energy thereby making something from nothing.

When learning the law of attraction, we not only hold the image but direct ourselves into the image to create the feelings we want to attract. Life is not a picture or even a video, life is about feeling. Would conscious thought really exist without a feeling supporting the thought? Right now, while writing this post, I feel the breeze coming through the window, I feel the water I’m drinking, and I’m feeling my emotions of calm, peace and wonderment at the ideas flooding through me. The thoughts are creating wonder, or is it the other way around and the sensation of wonder is creating the thoughts? Can they be separated or are they dependent upon each other to exist?

I’m not trying to solve any mystery, I’m merely putting the ideas out there for all of you to ponder along with me and perhaps experiment with as we continue to create our world.

Exploring the World

This is for the people who crave the positive drama. The euphoric highs of non-stop excitement. I’m an adrenalin junkie, I love the rush of anything that takes me to the edge then brings me back semi-safely and I know there are many others out there just like me.  But is it really good for us? And what does this say about our fragile psychological inner workings?  What makes us crave the adrenalin rush, the excitement of going too fast, too high, too far, too deep?

When we dare to explore the controlled dangers we’re putting things into perspective. We are stepping outside our comfort zone and stretching our safe place limits. Why? I think I speak for many of you, when I say, there’s a freedom involved, a proving that we can escape the mundane and ordinary. That we can explore the areas outside of our comfort zones and still be safe. And once you step beyond your perceived boundaries and learn to feel safe, then your comfort zone becomes bigger. Each time you move beyond a perceived boundary and enlarge your comfort zone the world opens up a bit, the world is less scary, less intimidating, and you realize you’re more in control than you thought. You learn, grow and mature when you accept that life is as big (or small) as you choose for it to be.

If you spend too much time being afraid of dying, soon you’ll become afraid of living. Whether its excitement or anxiety is all a matter of perspective.

Side Effects of Healing

Listen to any commercial on any network and you’ll hear any number of advertisements for medications. The thing that bothers me is the side effect of these meds are usually worse than the malady they’re used to treat. For the most part, I’d rather not take the meds.

What about emotional, spiritual and energy healing? What are the consequences of energetic healing? Anytime thought processes, feelings, behaviors or energy vibration in general change there is an overall change in the aura around you. This affects everyone who comes in contact with you.  You have disrupted the energy frequency in your aura and others will feel it. They may consciously be thinking they like the change in attitude, behavior etc., but there are subtle vibratory changes they may not be consciously aware of, but still feeling.

In healing there is that euphoric moment when you realize, “Hey, I feel better.” But then you have to adjust to the new and improved you. This is not a big deal for you, because you know what is going on inside for the most part.  But the people around you may be wondering what’s up. Also, when you healed, you changed your perception of other people and their energy. You are now interacting with and communicating with others in a new way. The change in your energy is causing you to interpret and react differently to other people’s energy.  You may think you are sensing a change in someone close to you, when in fact, you are the one who changed and what you’re really sensing is the change in your own perception of this person, they’ve not changed a bit, but you have.

Any time healing occurs it’s a good thing. Just keep in mind that as your vibration and frequency line up with your healed state, everyone around you is having to become comfortable with the change and your own perceptions are also needing time to re-aline.

Shadows of Dawn

There are Celtic myths that the most magical times of the day are the tween times. The tween times are the first light of day, exactly twelve noon, the last light of day and exactly twelve midnight. The tween times are when you should listen for glimpses or giggles from the fairies, watch for leprechauns, and the veil between our world and the spirit world wafts and often parts for peeks inside. There is a legend that rabbits, who are most active at dawn and dusk will lead you to where the fairies live if you are able to follow them.

There are also tween places, however, just like the tween times you need to be open and believe to experience them. Tween places are thought to be portals between our world and other dimensions. In forests where the trees form archways or even hallways, where vines have grown together forming canopies and rock formations that appear as doorways or even hallways through time and space are all potential tween places.

All legends, myths and even fairy tales are based in some truth experienced by someone. But you don’t have to believe in fairies, leprechauns or magical rabbits to know there is a mystical aspect to our world. Times and places often hold an energy all their own, truthfully all time and all places have energy some are just more obvious energy frequencies. Each of us also have our own unique energy frequency which is why some of us are morning people, some night people, some of us prefer to be in the mountains, some of us feel at peace beside or even on the ocean, these preferences are all connected to our individual energy frequencies.

Tuning into your own energy frequency and learning when you are most creative, alert, at peace, and feel the most centered and balanced will help you understand yourself better and be more in tune with the universal energies. Living in your own natural rhythm, then integrating yourself with the universal rhythm you are most in tune with will make it easier to be more centered and balanced.

I’m most in tune with morning, this is when I sense, there is magic afoot in the tween time, just as night slips away and light is casting shadows of dawn.

Grieving

Someone I know recently lost her spousal equivalent. They had lived together for many years as husband and wife, just no paper making it ‘legal’ by societal standards. Unfortunately, she will face additional hardships in the coming weeks and months as she asserts her place in his estate.

While she struggles to be recognized as his spouse she is grieving. She is grieving the same as any wife would grieve. I have felt her pain and listened to her tears and the duality of grieving for a spiritual sensitive really hit home.

Knowing the veil opened and welcomed her husband into its folds, and that he is happy, safe and loved does not lessen the grieve for her or his children. Why? Because we are spiritual energy in a physical vessel. We become so dependent on the physical ability to see, hear, smell, taste, and touch, we forget the spiritual energy behind these physical senses.

When people love each other and are together for extended periods of time, there is an underlying spiritual connection. The bodies have connected, sometimes in very intimate ways, but so too have the spirits of these people. Because we are such a materialistic society, most are conditioned to rely on the physical contact to validate the spiritual connection. When the physical contact is severed by one crossing into the spirit realm, we tend to allow this to make us believe it is an end. We forget to rely on the spiritual connection to our loved ones. They are still spiritually connected to us and not as far away as it appears to the physical body.  This is when sensing with the heart and spirit – allowing our energy to sense the connection to our loved ones can make all the difference.

Yes, the dynamics of the relationship have changed greatly, but the love and the connection brought into existence by that love has not.

Going with the Flow

In the past few weeks there have been numerous and sometimes intense energy shifts in the galaxy around earth, in our atmosphere, through the earth itself and many of us who are more sensitive to energy vibrations have noticed these shifts. For me it has been a roller coaster of emotions and physical change. Some of you are becoming much more in tune with yourselves and I see from many posts I follow you are not only accepting a deeper understanding of your truer nature, you are digging down deep to find it. This is good, very good. For the better we understand ourselves, the better we understand others.

These energy shifts are new and strange for all of us. Change is usually approached with at least a little apprehension if not true anxiety. Any time we experience new, we are entering a realm we are not yet familiar with. Yet, I believe that no matter what changes occur in the next few months, we are entering a new cycle of existence for life here on earth. And I want to offer this bit of comfort – if you listen to the news, walk through any neighborhood, talk to people in the bank or grocery store, or follow the political rhetoric throughout the world, you know this planet is in trouble. We are out of balance with the energy around us and within ourselves, out of touch with our humanity and out of touch with our Creator.

The only way this situation can or will improve is through change. I believe it is the change many of us feel happening.  Whether it is a conscious, unconscious or deeper innate knowing, we sense the change and on some level of our being realize its necessary for improvement.

The comfort I’m offering is this, first no matter what you are sensing, know you are not alone, many of us are also sensing the changes in energy and secondly, know you are pure energy in a physical vessel, the vessel is vulnerable but your energy is not. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only change form. You, your truest essence, that deep many of you are digging to find, cannot be destroyed. The best we can all do to allow the changes, to welcome the improvements, and adjust to the newness is just hold each others hands and go with the flow.

Being a Tree Hugger

I’m a tree hugger and I’m proud of it. My facebook page is a whose who of save: wolves, bears, horses, rainforests, ethical treatment of pets, respecting water and air, you name it, I support it. But lately I’ve noticed that these posts seem to only enrage the proponents on the other side. There now seems to be a never ending abuse of power in that each side accuses the other side of spamming, unethical posts and dishonesty of every other kind.

So I’ve been soul searching about this issue. I do believe one person acting from a pure heart can make a difference. I’m doing my part and supporting agencies and individuals who do their part. I also support and hopefully aid the education necessary for these projects to become more widely known and supported.

But when have we stopped supporting a cause and crossed the line into invading others free will and personal freedoms? By constantly bombarding the social media sites with our tree (animal, water, air) hugging propaganda are we only stirring the pot, so to speak and making the other side more determined to carry out their missions as well? They do more, we do more, they do still more, we do still more, they do even still more and on, and on, and who wins?

Is there a better way to present the case for our causes which will soften the hearts of those who oppose us and open them to learning what we are trying to do for the planet? I truly believe fighting is not the answer, yet that seems to be most of the issue.

I’m open to hear what any of you think about this dilemma.

Personal Image

While reading a post on a blog I follow , Love and Light Portal, I came across this, “you are Creation experiencing itself.”  After giving it some thought, it began to resonate with me more and more. The Christian Bible says we are created in God’s image. It doesn’t matter what your concept of “God”, “Great Spirit”, “Universal Consciousness” or any other form of Divinity is, the Supreme Being who created us, probably has very similar attributes; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

So, doing what I do best, I begin to over-think this whole concept. On the one hand, the Creator being so much like us is very comforting. We all have very different opinions, ideas, perspectives and preferences. The idea our Creator is so much like us makes being human a little more tolerable. Just imagine, the Creator wakes up and says, “Today I think I want to be a 7 year old little girl and play dress-up pretending I’m a fairy with magical powers,” or maybe the Creator wants to be a 15 year old boy and play basketball with his friends, or maybe be a 36 year old house wife who needs a break and decides to watch Lifetime movies in front of a roaring fire all afternoon.

But then, I looked at it from the other perspective. If the Creator is so much like us, doesn’t that mean we are very much like the Creator? “We are Creation experiencing itself.”  How does this change our image of ourselves?  I think we owe it to the Creator to be more aware and appreciative; aware and appreciative of everything, all the time. For example, while preparing my thoughts for this post, I was drinking coffee (pinon coffee, my favorite) and in the middle of the cup, I took a drink and realized how wonderful this coffee is, its coffee but has a distinctive flavor due to the pinon nuts which are ground in with the coffee beans. If I’m Creation experiencing itself, then Creator tasted the same thing I tasted. Creator was enjoying the blend of coffee bean and pinon nut right along with me.  The flowers I so lovingly planted and now water and care for everyday. Creator is caring for and enjoying the flowers the same as I am. Smelling their fragrance, appreciating their wonderful colors and laughing right along with me when the Magpies dig for the bugs under the compost and the rabbits wander through checking for anything edible.

This should also give us pause as to how we treat other people. For they are also Creation experiencing itself. I know this isn’t always easy when the people in question are challenging to us. The plethora of reasons for these challenges are best left for another post. The point is, everything, rocks, dirt, flowers, trees, insects, animals, the very earth we live on and the galaxies beyond us, and of course the humans, are all Creation experiencing itself. A vast concept with endless possibilities.

Acceptance

We all have talents, abilities and spiritual gifts. However, not all of these are fun or even comforting. Especially when it comes to spiritual gifts. Because there’s a balance between right and wrong, positive and negative, etc, there must also be talents, abilities and gifts which are capable of helping maintain this balance. A few more glamorous examples are firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, doctors, nurses, crisis intervention workers, etc. Most of these people will tell you their work is rewarding and feeds their soul in some way. We definitely should applaud them all.

However, there are many, many people in the world who have a gift for being able to tolerate negativity.  This gift brings very little satisfaction, almost no rewards and for the most part, others don’t even see your gift as a gift. But it is. Some of us (yes, I’m one of you) have an uncanny ability to attract “edgy” people to us. These challenging personalities seem almost comfortable with us. At first glance, to some people we might almost look like door mats or at the very least like we aren’t standing up for ourselves. Nothing could be further from the truth. And, by the way, there are karmic lessons for us also, but we have to recognize that sometimes in helping challenging people, we are also helping ourselves and balancing the karmic cycle of life.

Those of us with this gift, tolerate, accept and even care for these “edgy and challenging” personalities because they need us. In truth, they are insecure but their egos prevent them from being open about this insecurity. That is where our gift is needed. We are their strength and security. They sense in us a direct connection to the Universe and the eternal lifeline we offer them. Or to put it another way, they know we can take their crap and not let it spoil our day, much less our life. We are basically there to guide them while they work through their issues. Not a glamorous calling, but I believe we’ll be rewarded for it…some day…some where.
