Letting Go

We have all heard that we should never give up. The problem with this is there is such a fine line between ‘letting go’ and ‘giving up’.  When we put forth extreme amounts of effort for extended periods of time and don’t see any positive results, we get tired.  Tired makes us want to ‘give up’.  Don’t give up. But you can rest; and while you’re resting, ‘let go’.  Let go of expectations, of trying to force the outcome or the results you want to see.  I know, you’re having a hard time understanding the difference.

When you ‘give up’, you really stop trying; you quit, you are no longer putting forth any effort or energy toward the desired goal.  When you ‘let go’, you stop worrying, waiting and watching for the desired outcome.  Giving up is physically quitting.  Letting go is releasing the emotional drama around the desired goal.  Sounds simple on paper, however, I know from experience, its hard!

What dreams, ambitions, goals are you working toward or striving to make happen but they still seem far away?  Christmas is a very magical time of year.  Write those dreams on a piece of paper and then burn them and as the flames transform the paper into smoke, pull all your emotions into your breath and blow into the smoke allowing it to carry your dreams to the spirits.  Then Let Go!  Stop worrying, waiting, watching and wondering where the desired outcome is, just relax and let the spirits bring it to you. But don’t you quit.

Strength is not holding on, sometimes it takes the greatest strength to let go.

Faith is not worrying, faith and believe are the strength to defend your dreams in the face of adversity.

Letting go is strength of your own spirit aligning with the strength of the unseen spirits who are with you always.

  5. I’m experiencing a situation now where I have no choice but to let go. It is so incredibly difficult but the good news is it gets a little easier with each passing day. Sad, a bit angry, heartbroken – I’m all of those things but yet I’m moving forward and will continue to do so.

Thank you for being such an amazing inspiration! Happy New Year! ❤ xo
